TOBACCO USE
PREVENTION EDUCATION

Our school is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for all students. As part of this commitment, we follow California’s Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) guidelines, which promote awareness, prevention, and education around the risks of tobacco, nicotine, and vaping use.

Being a tobacco-free campus means that the use, possession, or distribution of tobacco products—including e-cigarettes and vaping devices—is prohibited at all times by students, staff, and visitors on school grounds and at school-sponsored events. This policy aligns with state law and reinforces our focus on student health, well-being, and academic success.

Through TUPE, we:
-
Educate students on the health risks and consequences of tobacco and nicotine use
-
Promote positive, healthy decision-making and resistance to peer pressure
-
Provide access to support and cessation resources for students, staff, and families

We encourage our school community to review our full TUPE policy and explore available resources for prevention and quitting support.
